I’m One of the muses, A common wood nymph roaming around Parnassus, Happy with my little sweet pea. With her delicate, fragrant flowers Carried on long, slim stalks, She captivated me. I ran to her flaming with desire. I am flaming. Burning Blazing with desire. Too hot for my sweet pea. Because she’s so delicate, So delicate for me. As I touch her, she transformed into ashes. I burnt her. And out of a haze, you were formed. Like smoke given out by fire. A fireweed that sprang up in the burnt over area. A replacement, I thought. You quenched my thirst. Suffuse my hunger. My desire. I came to you for a crown And you gave me a kingdom. You made me eat on a golden plate And drink from your cup of diamonds. But like a common pitcher plant, Cut your base open And there you’ll find my body’s remains trapped inside. A pitfall in the middle of the forest. I will name you Venus? The goddess with a seducing brilliant red trap. Open to all beings that needs nurturing. Show your bosom and all will crave for your milk. From a butterfly, you turned me to an ant. When I brushed only slightly against your skin, You closed within an instant. Rigid spines on the margins of you blades interlock tightly. As soon as I was trapped, You digested me. Used me as a nutrient material. I know this is about to last for only a week. By the time your leaf reopens, You’ll be reedy for other sufferers. Trapped inside, I accepted my fate. Then there she came one spring day. My little delicate sweet pea. Now a spring beauty in full bloom. A low perennial herb. With narrow, succulent leaves And loose cluster of white and pink flowers. But your leaf has closed. I cannot escape.

Maiden's Curse: Prologue

First post for the month of April!!!! Let the killings begin!!!

At last, after hours of travelling around the vicinity, the girl was finally able to reach the place; a huge, old, Japanese-style palace. It was a long walk from the village where she came from. She encountered many trials before finding the right way towards the mysterious palace in the forest.

She walked towards it. The atmosphere’s somewhat eerie and it surprisingly seemed quiet. Too quiet. Even the sounds of the insects a while ago vanished immediately. It was as if they were too scared to get closer to that place, or they were just expecting something to happen. The girl opened the huge wooden door revealing a ghostlike hall. She entered the palace and suddenly, the door closed behind her. She tried to open it but no amount of force would make it open. She had no choice but to look for another way out. There were many “things” she saw there. There’s no difference from the one she fought in the village. As she explored the place, she discovered horrible things that happened in there. Things that will surely happen to her if she didn’t solve this puzzle.

The girl accidentally walks in a secret chamber behind the curtain in the library. Getting a torch, she proceeded to take a walk inside. What she saw inside was revolting; a torture chamber with a girl hanging upside down on a chain, her blood was dripping on the bed below. Another girl was lying on the bed with a distorted body. Her legs were already on her head and her arms were twisted together. The girl grasps her katana on her side. She needed to get out of this place as soon as possible. Before she went out, she noticed that both girls have bloody scratches on their faces. The girls were so severely clawed that you can’t tell what they looked like before. They also have some kind of a bite; a snake bite, on their left arm. She runs away from the horrible sight.

The girl followed a beam of light emanating from the far end of the hall. As she ran towards the light, she fell down hard on the ground when a zombie girl grabbed her right foot and pulled her back towards the place where she came. She quickly slashed the zombie’s head off with her weapon. The zombie let go, twisting and flailing like it was hurt. It melted and turned into a small black snake. The girl picked it up and put it inside a special bag on her waist, meant only for these vile creatures. The girl continued running until a huge hall with thrones at the far end of the hall, revealed before her eyes.

There were two seats, probably intended for a daimyo and his bride. The other seat was occupied by remains of a man’s skeletal body, dressed in fine robes; on his right hand, a goblet was held. She went closer to investigate it. As she touched the robes of the man, the lights in the room began to darken and she saw a woman cladded in black robes with a hood emerging from a door and suddenly, it glided towards her in a flash, like an eagle attacking its prey. The woman gripped her neck until she was seated at the empty throne, choking her to death.

The girl caught a glimpse of the woman’s face only to discover a hideous looking creature hiding behind the hood. The woman clawed her face with her sharp, talon-like nails until blood gushed out of the poor girl’s face. She brutally mangled the girl’s face and struck a sword down her throat and continued to slice down until it reached her heart. The last thing the girl saw was a silhouette of another woman behind the black-hooded woman, which in turn put a mark on the her victim’s left arm with the bite of a snake-like sceptre that she’s holding. That was the end of it.
